SME has always been committed to quality and environment. In fact, SME has the Quality Certification ISO 9001 since 1999 and the Environmental Certification 14001 since 2002.
In 2008 SME enhances this commitment by launching the Environmental Challenge program and working in sustainable solutions. The project includes five points that are the cornerstone to achieving the best quality and respect to the environment:
- Energy efficiency
Each model, developed by R&D department, has been designed to minimize the energy consumption while maintaining the systems reliability.
- Reducing CO2 emissions
By applying the most efficient HAVC system in each case, the demand for air conditioning will be minimised with the result that energy consumption and CO2 emissions will decrease.
- Minimizing the environmental impact
With responsible practises, eco-friendly materials and smaller models, the environmental impact is reduced in each solution offered by SME.
- Spreading the best practises
Beyond the internal application of these processes, it offers consultancy services to get the most efficient and environmental friendly solution.
- Measured results
It is easy to estimate the return of investment for the energy efficiency. From an economic point of view, eco-friendly options are more interesting than other solution in spite of higher cost.
