In the military field, security is one of the main requirements in communications and control appliances. Because of this, SME take special care in the solutions designed for military applications including a full range of enclosures and ancillary equipments with protection against eavesdropping, as well as enclosures designed for special conditions.

Every solution with high EMI protection (TEMPEST) are tested and analyzed at SME’s Radio Frequency Lab, guaranteeing the correct operating of each unit. Because of this SME products have got CNI (Spanish NSA-National Security Agency) certifications enabling its use at sites classified as Zone 0.

Besides the specific customizing for each project, SME provides a complete solution with every kind of TEMPEST equipments (CPUs, monitors, printers, peripherals, etc.). Furthermore, the racks for military applications are designed by SME to be installed onboard warships or transportable shelters. They offer shock and vibrations resistance and, optionally, electromagnetic interferences (EMI) protection and water and dust tightness.
